Three years ago Andrew suddenly lost a great friend to lung cancer; he has another friend who is terminally ill with kidney cancer. Chrissy's mother also died of lung cancer. Chrissy’s brother's long life partner Karen, has just been diagnosed with breast cancer, and her close friends Jo and Sarah have previously beaten this terrible disease.
We are doing Mystery Box Rally because we care and want to help put an end to this heartbreak! Combining our love of old cars and an adventure, this is the perfect way of having fun while supporting the important work of the Cancer Council.
'CLAS' is an acronym of our initials so our team name CRUIZIN WITH CLAS was born. We will be driving our mighty merc, ”C’MON GET HAPPY”, and we are planning to do just that, along with raising money for a great cause. We are super excited to announce that we've been confirmed and will hit the road on 17th August 2019.

Part of our minimum requirement is to raise $3500 and we hope to raise well above this amount. This is the only hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated. Donations $2 and above are tax deductible.

Teams will drive their own 25+ year old cars along a mystery route in this unique 5-day challenge, all in the name of cancer research. The route is a loop starting and finishing at the same location, but all the other details are kept under wraps, only given to the teams each morning.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally."
