We are team Blue Balls, we do it for all. Supporting cancer whilst having a ball. If you haven’t heard, the Mystery Shitbox Rally is an amazeballs event giving us two lovely ladies (Anita and Hannah) the opportunity to support and raise money for cancer research , with Prostate cancer close to home for both members of Team Blue Balls we found the name quite fitting. The Shitbox Rally is one of the largest community fundraising events for the Cancer Council, having raised a whopping $3.5 million over the past 6 years. A good cause indeed, helping those in need, and we get to be a part of it for 2019!! Our team consists of two rocking kiwis, who are pumped to do it for our dads. From 17th-21st August, we will be braving it in our sassy Shitbox on a 5-day mystery trip starting in Byron Bay, all in the name of cancer research (how ballzy are we?) I’m not shitting you, the actual route is a mystery. Let us make history and help us with any sponsorship or donation (big or small). We are on a fundraising mission to recover ‘the lost Blue Balls’ and reach our target goal, and we need a minimum of $3,500 to qualify. If you choose to sponsor our journey this will get your business logo on our car the offical Mystery Shitbox website, on our Shitbox car and a mention on our social media pages. You’d be nuts not to help!
Teams will drive their own 25+ year old cars along a mystery route in this unique 5 day challenge, all in the name of cancer research. The route is a loop starting and finishing at the same location, but all the other details are kept under wraps, only given to the teams each morning.
The rally is not a race – it’s a fun, colourful, unpredictable adventure with participants travelling at their own pace in smaller groups. Vehicles often break down but “we never leave anyone behind” and each night is spent camping beneath the stars and celebrating the day’s achievements. It all adds up to an incredible opportunity to see Australia’s vast and beautiful countryside and make lifelong friends, many brought together after experiencing cancer themselves or seeing cancer impact family and friends.
Since it’s inception the rally has been the largest fundraiser for the Cancer Council nationally."
